IBPS Clerk Prelim 2016 Analysis for Logical Reasoning

Let us now get a quick look at last year analysis of Reasoning Ability for IBPS Clerk Prelim, 2017. Last year’s difficulty level of this section was Easy to Moderate. Each shift had a little deviation from others. But if you are looking at key topics then you should not miss this:-

  • Coding Decoding
  • Alphanumeric Series
  • Miscellaneous (Direction Sense, Blood Relation, Calendar, etc)

Though each shift had different pattern some topics were common. E.g.Inequality/syllogism ,Series, Puzzles and Sitting Arrangements.

Level of this section was Easy to Moderate. Average attempt for this section was 20 to 25 last year. So keep this in mind and prepare accordingly.

Analysis of IBPS Clerical Prelim 2016 for Quantitative Aptitude

Dear Students,

Dates for IBPS Clerical exams have been announced. They are scheduled on 2nd ,3rd , 9th and 10th December. You must be toiling hard by now and preparations must be in full swing. It’s important that you work hard but its more important that you work smarter. Analysis of IBPS Clerk exam is an important tool where in you can sharpen your preparations. To nail the success, you must be looking at the areas from where questions have been asked.

To add edge to your preparations we are sharing Last year analysis of Quantitative Aptitude and changes expected In 2017’s IBPS Clerk Preliminary exam.

Let us first know the changes IBPS has made for this subject by comparing two years’ notifications.

Though there is no change in Prelim’s pattern, Mains Pattern is bit changed by IBPS. Last year Mains had 200 questions for 200 marks but this year mains will have 190 questions for 200 marks.

It is Important is to note that there is no change in Prelims,  hence you have to solve 35 questions in 35 minutes. Let us take a look at last year analysis for Numerical Ability Section.

If you had attempted 15-20 questions last year, that could have been  be considered as a good attempt. The level of section was easy to moderate.

There was only one DI for 5 marks. Number Series was asked for 5 marks. Simplification Problems comprised 15 Marks and Miscellaneous chapters like Interest, Speed-Time-Distance, Average, Problems on Ages were asked for 10 Marks. To give you a good Idea let us take a quick look at pie chart below.

So guys, do consider this analysis of IBPS Clerk Pre 2016 Numerical Ability section while preparing for this year. If you prepare these topics, 80 – 90 % of your questions would be covered and one should be ready to face 10 – 15 % deviations that IBPS might go for. IBPS changed pattern for PO’s English this year held on 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th October but there weren’t huge changes in Quantitative Aptitude.

We must have a look at sectional cut off as well for last year. It was a high scoring exam last year and over all cut off went as high as 65; and sectional cut off for quantitative aptitude was at 10.75. We need to secure thee many marks at least and wise candidate will try be safer in this context.

Practice is the key to success. One can keep a target of solving atleast 1000 questions from these sections. So keep on practicing, check your scores and stay ahead in the competition.
